SCHMA connects content management with the interfaces developers use to build and deliver applications.

You own 100% of your content and your database. SCHMA connects directly to your own PostgreSQL database (on Supabase, Neon, Railway, or self-hosted). Your tables, schemas, entries, and relations live in your database. SCHMA only stores workspace metadata, operational cache, and encrypted connection credentials on its control plane.
SCHMA requires a customer-owned PostgreSQL 15+ database with the pgvector extension installed and enabled (with SSL/TLS enabled). pgvector is required for database schema migrations and powers vector embeddings and semantic similarity features. Verified providers with pgvector support include Supabase, Neon Serverless, Railway, AWS RDS, and self-hosted Docker instances.
Yes. You are welcome to build and deliver commercial client sites and client production applications on the Free tier, provided your workspace operates within the plan’s monthly quotas (10,000 Delivery requests, 100 MB media storage, up to 2 workspace members including the owner, and 1 production database connection).
Free workspaces receive 5,000 managed AI tokens each month, and Pro workspaces receive 100,000 monthly managed AI tokens for schema drafting, entry generation, translation, and SEO metadata. All AI generation produces staged previews for human review before anything is saved to your schema. Furthermore, Pro workspaces can enable Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) to connect OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic-compatible, or Google AI-compatible APIs, OpenRouter, and custom or local LLM endpoints (including Ollama, LM Studio, OmniRoute, and vLLM) with 0% platform markup.
Free is an ongoing, permanent tier supporting up to 2 workspace members (including the owner), offering visual content modeling, Studio editing, and 10,000 Delivery requests/month. Pro expands capacity to 100,000 requests/month, 1 GB media, 5 members, and unlocks SCHMA AI, editorial review gates, scheduled publishing, durable HMAC webhooks, database swapping, and the experimental MCP server.
Yes. Every workspace delivers content over both edge-cached REST endpoints (/v1/delivery/entries) and a dynamic GraphQL Yoga schema (/v1/delivery/graphql) automatically derived from your PostgreSQL models. You can also use our official @schmadev/client isomorphic TypeScript SDK.
SCHMA is billed per workspace on either a monthly or annual frequency. Pro is priced regionally at £20/month in the UK, €25/month in the EU, and $25/month for the rest of the world. Annual billing provides two months free upfront (£200/year in the UK, €250/year in the EU, and $250/year for the rest of the world). We display prices in your local currency for clear, transparent billing.
You can cancel your Pro subscription anytime with a single click in Studio under Settings → Billing. When canceled, your subscription remains active through the end of your current billing period, after which your workspace seamlessly transitions to the Free plan without deleting your database or content.
Because your content and schemas live in your own PostgreSQL database, you retain all of your published and draft data even if you stop using SCHMA. If you delete a workspace in SCHMA, we securely purge our cached metadata and delete your encrypted database credentials from our control plane.
